Hi All,

Greetings.

Today new small issue and solution 🙂

Issue : In one of the document library, “Keywords” are not saved in Enterprise Keywords” field.

Background:

  • We have a document library.
  • We have enabled the “Enterprise Keywords

  • Issue is – Whenever we upload a document, all columns such as “Name” and “Title” are getting updated. However, the value of the column “Enterprise Keywords” is not getting updated / saved.

Solution :

  • We were wondering what went wrong with “Enterprise Keywords” field but no clue
  • We do not have OneDrive syncing
  • We googled bit and tried multiple approaches
    • Verified that “Enterprise Keywords” column is added to the current view
    • Verified that respective permissions are in place to edit the document library settings
    • Verified that “Enterprise Keywords” column is added to all associated content type
    • In the same site collection, verified the “Enterprise Keywords” in different document library and there keywords are saved successfully
    • After downloading document in document properties – we are seeing a column named “Tags” rather “Enterprise Keywords

  • One option we tried – we removed the “Enterprise Keywords” column from document library and added again. This solution worked like charm 🙂
  • If again we will see the document properties, we will see correct column name – “Enterprise Keywords” name as
