Visual Studio 2017 – Community Edition – Creating new project – “ASP.NET Core web application” option not available

Today new issue, solution 🙂 small learning 🙂
Background: I am M365 guy and rarely worked on ASP.NET web application. So I am not in touch with ASP.NET core web applications, recent .NET core frameworks and so on.
I was exploring MS Graph APIs and need to demo for accessing MS Graph APIs from the ASP.NET web application. So though why not to create the “ASP.NET Core Web Application” rather our normal “ASP.NET Web Application”.
Issue: I have Visual Studio community edition 2017 installed on my laptop. So started Visual Studio, created new project but surprised that I don’t have option to create “ASP.NET Core Web Application” as

I am wondering what will be the reason.
Solution: As usual bit googled:) and found that I have customized version of Visual Studio installed and not the full version.
So I launched Visual Studio Installer as

Once Visual Studio Installer launched, click on “Modify” option as

Once we clicked on “Modify” button, options to install the features which are not installed, select the option “ASP.NET and web development” option and click on “Modify” button as shown in below figure:

Visual Studio installer will start downloading and installing ASP.NET and web development features. Once successful installation done, please restart the visual studio.
After restarting visual studio I could see the option as shown in below figure:
