Hi All,

Greetings for the day 🙂 LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL 🙂

Today, we will move further in preparation series for SC-300 exam. In this article we will discuss how to invite guest users to our Azure AD

If still didn’t got a chance to went through previous related articles – https://knowledge-junction.in/2021/03/19/azure-sc-300-identity-and-access-administrator-preparation-guide/  please have a look once. I am trying to keep as simple as possible 🙂

Details :

  • To give access to our organization resources, apps we need to invite the external users / B2B collaboration users to our Tenant
  • We can use Azure portal to invite external users
  • We can invite guest users to directory, to group or to an application
  • Once guest user is invited, the invited user account is added to Azure AD of type “Guest”

  • Click on “Manage Azure Active Directory“, we will be redirected to “Active Directory Blade” menu as

  • As in above figure, please click on “Users” from the “Manage” section, we will be redirected to User Management blade – “MsGraphUsers” as

  • Click on “+ New guest user” link as shown in above fig, we will be redirected to new user page as

  • On the New user page, select Invite user and then add your information as the guest user.

  • Once all details are submitted, click on “Invite” button, we will get progress as shown in below fig

  • On successfully addition we will get the notification as well as shown in below fig

  • On successful addition we will be redirected to users list as

  • Please notice User type – Guest and Creation type – Invitation
  • Guest user will also receive an invitation email as
