In last following few articles we are discussing AI Builder.

In this article we will discuss how to use AI Model in Canvas Power App. Here we will use “Business Card Reader” OOB AI Model in our custom canvas app form. So lets start step by step:

Step 1 : Go to the PowerApp portal / Launch Power Apps as

Step 2: Create blank canvas app

Step 3: On canvas app screen from “Insert” menu select “AI Builder”

Step 4: Select “Business Card Reader” AI model, which will inserted on our canvas app screen

Step 5: To verify its working lets have one label and set the formula to print the company name from the business card which we will be scanning / reading.

We could have this form on our SharePoint site as well for respective person to use.

Once we have respective data available then we could have multiple options / approaches available to store this data

• We could store / maintain all this data into SharePoint list
• We could store / maintain all this data into any database
• We could store / maintain all this data in Dynamic 365

Use Cases / Scenarios: There are certain scenarios where this OOB Business Card Reader model can be used, few of ideas are listed below:

• In Hotel Industry, where customers visits to the Hotels and Hotel owner like to have maintain the database of all there customers. Maintaining birth dates and anniversaries of customers and wishing them and offerings. So this way Hotel can increase the business.
• In Hospitals, maintaining all patients data for various purposes
• In companies, in interview process, maintaining data of candidates for future references
• Different kind of Shop Keepers / Shopping Mall owners maintaining data for their customers for various proposes or for future uses.
