Microsoft 365 – new feature update : Teams conversation and outlook messages appears in search result from Office.com and SharePoint

Greetings for the day !!!

Today we will discuss new small feature released in mid of this month

New feature : Teams conversation and Outlook messages search in Office.com and SharePoint related to Search

Details

• Now it is possible to search our teams conversation in search on SharePoint site and from Office.com
• It is also possible to search outlook messages in search on SharePoint site and from Office.com

Demo – Team conversation in search result

• I have team conversation in my Teams as –
  • Team : Prasham Cloud Talk
  • Channel : Microsoft Graph

• Now, I’ll navigate to my SharePoint site and will search for word “Microsoft Graph” as

Demo – Outlook messages in search result

• Lets search for the keyword “Archive”
• We will have messages from Outlook mails as

Demo : Searching from Office.com

• Similarly If I go to office.com – https://www.office.com/ and search from there, say keyword – “Testing”

• We will see result under “Messages” section from Teams and Outlook as shown in below fig
