Microsoft 365 – New Feature – Microsoft SharePoint: Customize individual sites and experiences with fonts and themes

Today sharing one more new feature related to Microsoft SharePoint.

NEW FEATURE – SharePoint is introducing a new site branding feature allowing customization with fonts and themes

Background – Before this new feature rollout: Site owners have limited ability to customize their sites and experiences with branding.

DETAILS

• SharePoint is introducing a new site branding feature allowing customization with fonts and themes

• Site owners can create unique branding, which won’t affect organizational provided assets.
• Site owners will be able to create font packages and themes for their sites.
• These fonts and themes can be created in two ways.
  • Site Owners can combine the branding assets provided by the organization.
  • Alternatively, they can create their own.
• The Change the look experience will contain branding created in the SharePoint brand center. It will also include branding created with Microsoft PowerShell for the organization. Additionally, their own local site branding.
• This new feature allows site owners to copy branding assets used in another site. They can then use these assets within their site.
• This will create an independent copy of these site branding assets in the destination site.
• Site owners will be able to create, rename, and delete themes and font packages (where available in a tenant).
