Hi All,

Greetings for the day!!!

Today, small sharing again.

Background

  • We were exploring possibility of sending email notification to members of Viva Engage group.
  • We were trying Power Automate.
  • There is Power Automate trigger – When there is a new message in a group (V2)

  • Next action, we were trying send an email. We were using an action – Send an email notification (v3).
  • And here we have an error / issue – getting an “Unauthorized” exception while sending notification / email.

Issue

  • “Unauthorized” error while sending email using Power Automate action – Send an email notification (v3)
  • Issue is with Mail connector.

Solution / Workaround

  • We did not manage to find the exact cause.
  • But then we have workaround for the same.
  • After googling, we found that Microsoft is preferring / recommending to use Office 365 Outlook connector.
  • Workaround is using another action – Send an email (V2)
