Hi All,

Greetings for the day.

New Feature – Microsoft Teams is introducing a ‘Workflow builder‘ feature. This feature allows us to describe the automation we need. It helps us get a matching workflow.

Details

  • Microsoft Teams is introducing a ‘Workflow builder‘ feature. This feature allows us to describe the automation we need. It helps us get a matching workflow.
  • This feature supports English descriptions for cloud flows and will be available in the Workflows app.
  • This feature is very useful when we can not find the workflow template which requires us in Microsoft Teams.
  • We need to select the ‘Workflow builder button. It is located at the bottom of the create dialog in the Workflows app in Microsoft Teams chat.
  • Power Automate uses OpenAI Codex to translate description into code. It provides a corresponding flow that you can create instantly.

Limitations

  • Power Automate supports workflow descriptions written in the English language only.
  • Descriptions written in other languages might work but are not supported.
  • Cloud flows are the only type of flow that you can create from a written description.

DEMO

  • Here, I am using Microsoft Teams desktop client.
  • I logged in with my M365 account to Microsoft Teams desktop client.
  • To go to “Workflows” select the chat – click on “More Options” (three dots…)
