Microsoft 365 – Major Update – Microsoft Search: The old Search usage reports will retire – Action required by Apr 29, 2025

Today, I am sharing one of the MAJOR UPDATE related to Microsoft Search.

MAJOR UPDATE: Microsoft Search – The old search reports will retire by Apr 29, 2025

DETAILS:

• The old Search usage reports in Microsoft 365 will be retired on April 30, 2025.

• We should download necessary old reports by April 29, 2025
• We should familiarize ourselves with the new reports.
• Effective April 30, 2025, the New usage analytics toggle on the Insights tab of the Microsoft 365 Search and Intelligence admin portal will be retired

• This will make old search usage reports inaccessible.
• There are some differences between the new and old reports, including changes in metrics (such as the new reports have no query count or average position) and improvements to the user experience
