Microsoft 365 administration- How to get to the Microsoft Search usage reports

Today, I am sharing a brief article on how to navigate to Microsoft Search usage reports.

What are Microsoft Search usage reports?

• Search usage reports allow us to gain more understanding of how users in our organization are using Microsoft Search.
• The insights generated from these reports will help us to take actions that will make search a more useful and delightful experience for all our users
• The Microsoft Search usage reports include graphs and tables generated from searches that are executed from the
  • SharePoint Start Page
  • SharePoint Sites
  • Microsoft 365 app (Office app) at office.com
  • and Bing
• User analytics is also available for
  • Windows Search
  • Outlook
  • Teams
  • OneDrive
  • and application search in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• We can see data from the last 28 days or for the previous year

How to get to the Microsoft Search usage reports?

• Navigate to Microsoft 365 admin center either through office 365 portal or from direct link – https://admin.microsoft.com/

• From office portal – navigate to link – https://portal.office.com
• Once we are on Microsoft 365 admin center, we can navigate to Search usage reports

• From left pane of Microsoft 365 admin center, expand the “Settings” link

• Click on “Search & intelligence” link, we will be redirected to “Search & intelligence” page https://admin.microsoft.com/Adminportal/Home?#/MicrosoftSearch
