Teams meeting invite recipients limit from Outlook client

Hi All,

Greetings for the day 🙂 LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL 🙂

Major Update for Microsoft Teams : Microsoft is limiting the number of individual recipients allowed for scheduling Teams meeting from Outlook client

Details :

  • Microsoft is limiting the number of individual recipients allowed for scheduling Teams meeting from Outlook client
  • This limit is set to 750 recipients
  • If we try to add more than 750 recipients we will get following error
Microsoft Teams - Error when we schedule Team meeting from Outlook client (Win 32 or 64) and individual recipients are more than 750
Fig : Microsoft Teams – Error when we schedule Team meeting from Outlook client (Win 32 or 64) and individual recipients are more than 750
  • This error is occurs only for Outlook Windows client. For other Outlook clients recipients more than 750 are automatically dropped

Workaround :

  • This limit does not apply to content of distribution lists
  • So if we want to invite more than 750 recipients then use the distribution list

When this change will happen / Roll out plan :

  • The roll out of this change is already started in late June
  • Microsoft is expecting this change to be finalized by late September 2021
