Microsoft 365 – Microsoft To Do apps – MAJOR UPDATE – Update Microsoft To Do apps (Android, iOS, Windows and Mac) and Outlook apps(Android and iOS) to the latest available version before October 31, 2021

Today reminder for one of the major update regarding Microsoft To Do apps.

MAJOR UPDATE : Update Microsoft To Do apps (Android, iOS, Windows and Mac) and Outlook apps(Android and iOS) to the latest available version before October 31, 2021

This update is for the companies / organizations which uses Microsoft To Do apps

Details :

• Microsoft is moving To Do apps backend to a more efficient service
• To have best experience across all the devices, latest version of To Do apps need to update
• We need to make sure our mobile and desktop To Do apps are version 2.49 or higher before end of October 2021
• If we didn’t updated before given date we may have issues with cross device syncing
• We need to update our Outlook android and ios apps as well since To Do tasks are linked with Outlook app

Important points

• After 31 October 2021, 2.48 To Do App version no longer will sync across devices but it will work in offline mode
• If we log out before updating the latest version all un synced data will be lost

How to check your To Do app version :

• Log In to your Microsoft 365 tenant or any site from your tenant
• Click on 9 dots at right top corner
• All apps or search for “To Do” in “Search all of your apps” dialog as shown in below fig
• Navigate to “To Do” app

• Once we navigated to “To Do” app home page, we will navigate to “Settings” – To Do app settings

• From list of settings available, scroll down below and we will se the setting – Version as shown in below fig

• Here, please notice that in my tenant I have latest version “2.53.0” so I no need to update To Do app
