Microsoft 365 : OneDrive – Recommended Files – new feature

Greetings for the day!!! Today new small feature of OneDrive

New feature : OneDrive will now display a list of recommended files in Home

Details

• OneDrive will now display a list of recommended files for us in Home
• This list allows us to keep track of work around us and quickly access files with activity which we value most such as edits, mentions, and comments by people with whom we interact

• This feature uses machine learning to predict which files we are most likely to want to work on next and presents those as a set of cards we can choose from
• Only files we have access to in OneDrive or SharePoint are suggested
• Each card shows the name of the file and who made changes or shared it
• It also shows why it was recommended, like @ mentions, recent edits, or comments.
• We can click anywhere on the card to open the file.
• If the file was recommended to us because of a specific comment or task, we can navigate directly to that location in the file by clicking “Go to comment” or “Go to task” on the card

• If we want to remove specific file – we can use option “Hide from list” option as in below fig

When this will happen

Targeted Release: Rolling out started in early August 2023

Standard Release: Rolling this out in mid-August 2023 and expect it to complete by late September 2023
