On Microsoft 365 Junction, we have started the preparing interviews. These include answers/tips about Azure, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, M365, Power Platform, Teams, and so on.

In this article we are discussing next set of Microsoft 365 preparation questions.

Q 1. Which are the Microsoft 365 plans that don’t create a Microsoft Entra tenant?

• Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS) E5
• Microsoft 365 Business Basic
• Microsoft 365 Business Standard
• Microsoft 365 Apps
• Office 365 F3
• Microsoft 365 F1

Q 2. What is difference between “Microsoft 365 Business Basic” and “Microsoft 365 Business Standard” Microsoft 365 plans.

• Microsoft 365 Business Basic
  • This plan primarily focuses on cloud-based productivity and collaboration tools.
  • It includes web versions of popular Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • It also provides
    • Exchange Online for email hosting (with a 50-GB mailbox per user),
    • SharePoint Online for team sites and file storage,
    • and Microsoft Teams for communication and collaboration.
• Microsoft 365 Business Standard
  • This plan includes all the features of Microsoft 365 Business Basic.
  • Adds the ability to install the full desktop versions of Office applications on up to five devices per user. The applications include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, and Access.
    • Given this functionality, users can work offline and take advantage of more advanced features available in the desktop versions.

Q 3. What is difference between “Office 365 F3” and “Microsoft 365 F1” Microsoft 365 plans.

• Office 365 F3
  • Microsoft designed this plan for frontline workers. They don’t need the full suite of advanced Office applications. They still need essential productivity tools and collaboration capabilities to perform their job duties effectively.
  • It includes web and mobile versions of Office apps, email, and file storage.
• Microsoft 365 F1
  • Microsoft also designed this plan for frontline workers.
  • It includes Office Online apps, email, and file storage.
  • Microsoft 365 F1 provides a more comprehensive feature set than Office 365 F3. It includes enhanced security and compliance features, and more tools for automation and custom application development.

Q 4. Which Microsoft 365 plans are available for frontline workers?

• Office 365 F3

Q 5. How to edit the our organization profile?

• Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center.

• In the left-hand navigation pane, select the Show All ellipsis “…” icon to display all the navigation menu options.
• In the left-hand navigation pane, select Settings and then select Org settings.
• On the Org settings page, select the Organization profile tab.

Q 6. What is Microsoft 365 plan?

• A Microsoft 365 plan provides access to various Microsoft products like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• It also offers cloud services for storage, collaboration, and communication.
  • For example, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, and more.
• When an organization subscribes to a Microsoft 365 plan, it can create user accounts. It can also assign licenses to those accounts. Additionally, the organization can manage the subscription settings.

Q 7. What is Microsoft Entra Tenant?

• When an organization purchases a subscription to a Microsoft 365 plan, Microsoft creates a Microsoft Entra tenant. This includes plans such as Microsoft 365 E3 or E5.
• This Microsoft Entra tenant is the underlying foundation. It enables user authentication, authorization, and other identity-related functionalities. These functionalities support Microsoft 365 services like Office applications, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
• It’s also the place where the organization’s Microsoft 365 Administrator can manage the company’s global settings. These settings include branding and security policies.
