Power Platform – New Feature : Power Automate administration – Updated admin tenant setting for resubmitting Power Automate flow runs

Today, I am sharing recently release new feature related to Power Automate.

New Feature: Power Automate – Updated admin tenant setting for resubmitting Power Automate flow runs

Details:

• On February 6, 2025, Microsoft updated the Power Automate flow run resubmission setting.
• This setting will allow administrators to let users resubmits instant-triggered flows.

Current Behavior

A Power Automate user could trigger a flow run with an instant trigger. However, if the setting was disabled, no one could resubmit that flow run.

Updated Behavior

If the setting is disabled, administrators can permit users to resubmit their own flow runs initiated by instant triggers. At the same time, they prevent flows that were originally started by another user.

How to update the Power Automate flow run resubmission setting from Power Automate admin center

• Navigate to Power Automate admin center.
• We can navigate to Power Automate admin center either through direct URL https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/ or from Microsoft 365 admin center.

• As we are at Power Platform admin center

• From the left menu of Power Platform admin center, click on “Manage” link.
• As we click on “Manage” link, right pane will be opened as shown in snap 2.
• From opened right pane, click on “Tenant settings” link as shown in snap 2.

• As we click on “Tenant settings” link, we will be redirected to tenant settings page – https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/manage/tenantsettings
• Scroll down bit on tenant setting page to navigate to “Power Automate flow run resubmission” setting. As shown in snap 3 below.

• As we click on setting “Power Automate flow run resubmission” right pane will open with setting details. We will have also option to toggle the setting. As shown in snap 4 below.
