Power Platform administration – Exploring Tenant-level analytics

Today we will explore Power Platform tenant level analytics.
What is Tenant level analytics?
- Power Platform resources periodically emit telemetry data for various operations and user activities across environments and extensions.
- Tenant-level analytics allows admins to view and compare insights derived from the Platform telemetry data across environments they manage.
- Tenant admins can view reports containing analytics that apply to all environments within the tenant.
- Once enabled, this feature aggregates data from environments across all regions in your tenant. And copies it into the default environment region for tenant-level reporting.
- A tenant-level administrator role is required for one-time operation of granting consent for tenant-level analytics.
How do I enable tenant-level analytics?
- A member of one of the following admin roles is required to enable tenant-level analytics:
- Power Platform admin
- Microsoft 365 Global admin
- Delegated admin
- We can enable tenant-level analytics from Power Platform admin center.
- Navigate to Power Platform admin center
- We can navigate Power Platform admin center
- Either using direct URL – https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/home
- OR from Microsoft 365 admin center

- As we are at Power Platform admin center

- As in above snap 1, we have recommendations – “Get better recommendations by turning on tenant-wide analytics“
- To enable setting we need to click “View details” button
OR
- From left pane click on “Actions” button as in snap 2

- As we click on “Actions“, we will be redirected to “Action Center” page “https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/actionCenter/advisor
- By default we are “Recommendations” page as shown in snap 3

- On “Recommendations” page we have recommendation for turning on tenant-wide analytics as shown in above snap 3
- Click on respective recommendation
- As we click on respective recommendation, right pane will open as shown in snap 4 below.
- On right pane we have an option to turn on the setting – “Collect tenant-wide analytics data” as in snap 4 below

Who can view these reports?
- Administrators with the following roles can view the reports:
- Environment admin – Can view reports for the environments. The admin is a member of the Contributor or Environment Admin role.
- Power Platform admin – Can view reports for all environments.
- Dynamics 365 admin – Can view reports for all environments.
- Microsoft 365 Global admin – Can view reports for all environments.
