Microsoft Teams Channel – “Files” Tab Renamed to “Shared”: Key Updates

Greetings !!!

Today, I am sharing recently updated new feature related to Microsoft Team channel “Files” tab.

New Feature: The Team channel “Files” tab will be renamed “Shared“. This change combines shared post content and document library files.

Details:

• In team channel, “Files” tab will be renamed as “Shared“.

• Shared tab will offers views by posts and library, file ordering, and filtering.
• This tab will enable users to view content

This change aims to streamline collaboration. It will make it easier for team members to access all shared resources. They will find these resources within a single location. With the new “Shared” tab, users will benefit from improved navigation. It offers a more intuitive interface. This enhances overall productivity in Teams.

Note: The Shared tab in chats will not be affected by this change.
