Before going into more details I’ll go with example so no more confusion/suspense 🙂 When I turn on “Microsoft Search” in my organization, I could search our Office 365 users, groups, SharePoint documents and sites, conversation from Microsoft Teams, Conversation from yammer on Bing.com.
Let’s open the bing.com in browser and sign in – assuming I have turned on “Microsoft Search” setting for my tenant as

Sign in to bing.com with our Office 365 account as

Here, knowledgejunction.onmicrosoft.com is my test tenant and user is prasham@ knowledgejunction.onmicrosoft.com. Next it will prompt for Password, please enter the password.
Then I searched for my user and it shown all the details as

And results are

Here also notice, it brings tabs also in top like All results, People, Files, Sites and Conversation. If we click on each tab, we will see result related to those.
For example: Result from Sites

This all result is permission based and secured. We control all the settings like what should be shown in result and for which users this result needs to be shown and so on. We will see all the details in next article.
If “Microsoft Search” feature is turned off and still, we will try to login to bing.com it throws an error as
