Greetings for the day!!!

Today got to know about new update and seems to be useful one. So sharing. SHARING IS CARING 🙂

Update – Now we can play and preview Stream videos in Teams chat and channels

Details

  • Now it is possible to play our stream videos which are uploaded / stored in SharePoint or OneDrive in Teams chat or channel it self
  • We / Users no need to browse the videos in browser or no need to go to streams page – _layouts/15/stream.aspx

Demo

  • Lets share video link (uploaded in document library of SharePoint site) in Teams chat as
  • Here,
    • logged in user is – Knowledge Junction (prasham@knowledgejunction1.onmicrosoft.com)
    • Logged in user is chatting with user – prasham1 Sabadra (prasham1@knoweldgejunction.onmicrosoft.com)

  • As video shared successfully, we / users can play video itself in chat there as

When this change will be happening across all tenant

  • This feature will be rolling out in late July and is expect to complete rollout by late August.
  • Mine is development environment and this feature is already in place
  • Global Administrator can check status from repactive message in Message Center as
