REMINDER – Microsoft 365 – MAJOR UPDATE – Exchange PowerShell: retirement of tenant admin cmdlets to Get, Set, and Remove UserPhotos in this month (Apr 2024) – Exploring Microsoft Graph PowerShell for user photos

Greetings !

MAJOR UPDATE : Today reminder for some Exchange PowerShell which are retiring in this month.

We have published article in last year – Microsoft 365 – MAJOR UPDATE – ExchangePowerShell: retirement of tenant admin cmdlets to Get, Set, and Remove UserPhotos – https://knowledge-junction.in/2023/10/11/microsoft-365-major-update-exchangepowershell-retirement-of-tenant-admin-cmdlets-to-get-set-and-remove-userphotos/ about retiring following Exchange PowerShell CMDLETs

• Get-UserPhoto
• Set-UserPhoto
• Remove-UserPhoto

When this will happen:The retirement is scheduled for mid-April 2024 (previously late March)

Details

• After this change the ExchangePowerShell UserPhoto cmdlets for tenant admins to Get, Set, and Remove user profile photos will no longer be usable.
• Tenant admins can perform the same actions to Get, Set, and Remove user profile photos through the

  • or alternatively we can administer the user photos through Azure Active Directory
