Microsoft Teams administration – Creating channel either from Teams web or client

Hi All,
Greetings.
Today small but useful article for Teams users, administrators, beginners so sharing
How to create Teams channel either from Teams web or client
- Navigate to Teams
- There are multiple ways to navigate to Teams either through direct URL – https://teams.microsoft.com or through Apps Launch pad either from any SharePoint site collection or Microsoft 365 as in below fig

- As we navigate to Teams, from left hand side options / menu, select “Teams” as shown in below figure
- Click on “+” infront of “Teams” label as in below fig
- On click of “+” icon, drop-down menu will appear with options
- Create channel
- Create team
- Join team

- To create new channel, click on “Create channel” menu / link / option
- As we click on “Create channel” , dialog will appear to enter the channel details as in below fig

- We need to select the Team for which we are creating channel as shown in below fig

- As we select Team, please enter other details
- Channel name
- Description
- Channel type
- Standard
- Shared
- Private


- As all the required details entered, click on “Create” button at the bottom
