Today small sharing – how to block or unblock particular app in Teams from Teams admin center

Background

• I am writing article related to new feature of Microsoft Teams Chats.
• So one of the point came across in article is respective app should not be disabled in Microsoft Teams admin center
• So thought to share details – how to block / unblock apps in Microsoft Teams admin center

• Navigate to Microsoft Teams admin center – https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/

• As we navigate to Microsoft Teams admin center, we will be on home page as

• From the left pane, expand the “Teams apps” menu as

• On click of “Manage apps” we will be navigating to Manage apps page – https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/policies/manage-apps

• On manage apps page we have listing of all the apps

• Click / open the app which we want to block
• Here for demo purpose I am clicking “Power Apps” app as

• As in above image, on top right corner there is “Action” drop-down
• If we expand the drop-down, we have an option to “Block app“
• Click on “Block app” link and respective app will be blocked

• Similarly we can “Unblock app” by just clicking on “Unblock app” on the top in yellow bar OR expanding “Actions” drop-down and selecting “Unblock app” option
