Feature update – Microsoft 365 – SharePoint online – SharePoint list and library rules will send from the no-reply@sharepointonline.com email address

Hi All,
Greetings for the day!!!
Today new feature update related to SharePoint list and library rules.
Background
- For List and Libraries we can specify an automated email based on several conditions.
- We can create rules to automate tasks
- like sending someone a notification when data changes in the list.
- or a new file is created in the library.
- We have an options to create and manage rules.
- With the list open in Microsoft Lists, SharePoint, or Teams, near the top of the page, select Automate, select Rules

- These rule includes
- when a change occurs.
- when a new file or item is added.
- when a file or item is deleted.
- when file or item metadata conditions are met.

Details
- Microsoft is making a change to how emails are sent for customers that use list or document library rules.
- These rules can be created from the Automate dropdown as shown in above figures.
- SharePoint list and library rules automated emails will now be sent from “no-reply@sharepointonline.com” with the display name “SharePoint Online.”
- This change is effective immediately.
- This change requires no action.
- But if we have email policies and workflows, then those need updating to include this new address.
- Earlier, these emails would be sent on behalf of the user that made a file or item update.
What action we need to take
- No action is required, existing rules will continue to operate.
- If you have any email policies or workflows based on a specific sender, those will need to include the no-reply@sharepointonline.com address.
Note: Creating a rule based on a multi-line text column is not supported.
