Gen AI capabilities in the Create module of Microsoft 365 Copilot app for all Copilot Chat users

Today sharing new feature update related to “Create in Microsoft 365 Copilot“

NEW FEATURE: Microsoft providing standard access to the generative AI features of “Create in Microsoft 365 Copilot” to users without a Microsoft 365 Copilot license

Details

• Microsoft providing standard access to the generative AI features of “Create in Microsoft 365 Copilot” to users without a Microsoft 365 Copilot license
• This will enables all Copilot chat users in our organization to generate images. Also allowing to edit visual content – posters, banners, infographics and images – using AI powered tools

How to create image in Copilot

• Navigate to Copilot chat – https://m365.cloud.microsoft/chat/

• From the left pane of Copilot chat, click on “Create” link as shown in image below

Few Limitations

• These users will not be able to generate videos, surveys, and will not have access to brand kits in Create
• If image generation is disabled by tenant admins, image generation features will be hidden for both licensed and unlicensed users: Image, Poster, Banner, Infographic, Story, and Edit an image

Allow / Disallow image generation in Copilot

• In the Microsoft 365 admin center, select Copilot > Settings > Copilot image generation.
