Q. How to navigate Exchange admin center?

• We can navigate to Exchange admin center by different approaches
  • By directly navigating to Exchange admin center URL – https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/#/homepage

Q. What is Basic Authentication?

• Basic authentication means the application sends a username and password with every request, and those credentials are also often stored or saved on the device
• Basic authentication is an outdated industry standard. 

Q. What is Modern Authentication?

• Modern authentication (OAuth 2.0 token-based authorization) has many benefits and improvements that help mitigate the issues in basic authentication. 
  • For example, OAuth access tokens have a limited usable lifetime, and are specific to the applications and resources for which they are issued, so they cannot be reused
• Enabling and enforcing multifactor authentication (MFA) is also simple with Modern authentication

Q. How to access Message Trace in Exchange Online?

• We could access “Message Trace” in the Microsoft Exchange admin center (EAC) in Microsoft Exchange Online
• Exchange admin center > Mail flow > Message Trace

Q. What are Role Groups?

• A role group is a special universal security group (USG). It is part of the Role Based Access Control (RBAC) permissions model in Exchange Online.
• The members of the role group are assigned the same set of roles, and we add and remove permissions from users by adding them to or removing them from the role group
• We can manage role groups in the
  • Exchange admin center (EAC) https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/#/adminRoles and
  • in Exchange Online PowerShell.

Q. How to manage permissions for Exchange Online?

• To limit permissions and capabilities to features in Exchange Online, we can assign Exchange Online permissions in
  • the Exchange admin center (EAC) and
  • in Exchange Online PowerShell.

Q. How to manage Exchange Online permissions in the EAC?

• To manage Exchange Online permissions in the EAC, go to Roles > Admin roles or
• Go directly to the Admin roles page at https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/#/adminRoles

Q. How to create custom role groups?

• In Exchange admin center on “Admin roles” page we have an option to create new custom role group – “Add role group“. Please refer below page.

Q. How to delete role groups?
