Microsoft announced new version CSOM (Client Side Object Model) for SharePoint Online and Project Online – December 2017

Hi All,

On 21 Dec 2017, Microsoft announced new version of CSOM (SharePoint client side object model) for office 365 (SharePoint online and Project online).

Important features added in this release are : New PowerShell cmdlets are added like

  1. Set-SPOSiteOffice365Group,
  2. Get-SPOHideDefaultThemes – renamed from Get-HideDefaultThemes,
  3. Set-SPOHideDefaultThemes – renamed from Set-HideDefaultThemes along with some new properties and methods.

Latest version of CSOM package is available in NuGet gallery having search term “Microsoft.SharePointOnline.CSOM”.

The latest version of CSOM package is 16.1.7206.1200 as

Assembly version of released assemblies is – 16.1.0.0.
