Microsoft Teams : Teams Desktop – suggested replies feature – managing Teams messaging policies

Hi All,
Greetings for the day!!! Today small but useful feature update for Teams Desktop
New feature in Microsoft Teams for Teams Desktop : While replying in Teams Desktop user will get list of suggested replies. So that its very easy for user just to tap the suggested reply
Timelines for this feature:
- Standard: Complete
- GCC: mid-May through early June
- GCC-High: early June through late June
- DoD: early July through late July
By default this feature is ON for all the users
We could disable this feature by disable the “Suggested Replies“ setting that is found in “Messaging Policies“
Disabling the Suggested Replies feature from Team admin center >> Messaging policies : We can manage various policies related to Teams messages through Messaging policies page in Teams admin center
- Navigate to Teams admin center either through Microsoft 365 admin center – https://admin.microsoft.com/
OR
- Through direct URL – Microsoft Teams admin center – https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/
- From Teams admin center (https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/) , from left pane navigate to “Messaging policies” as

- We will be redirecting to policies page as shown in above fig – https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/policies/messaging/edit/R2xvYmFs
- From Teams messaging policies page we have various settings for controlling messages
- At the bottom of page we have setting “Suggested replies“, we can enable / disable from there as shown in above figure
