Microsoft 365 – Microsoft Viva – resolving error : Your account is not enabled for Viva Learning – please contact your administrator for access, or switch to an authorized account.

Hi All,

Greetings for the day!!! Today new issue and solution !!!

Background:

• For our one of the customer, for specific group of users we are started preparing Microsoft Teams and channel for there work
• We created new Team, respective channel and started configuring Apps in given channel like – channel calendar, OneNote, Viva Learning
• Since I am very fascinated by Microsoft Viva, and to provide learning platform to our users – decided to configure “Microsoft Viva Learning” as tab in respective Teams
• While adding “Microsoft Viva Learning” we were getting an error as shown in below figure

Issue:

As I added Viva Learning app in a channel as tab getting an following error

“Your account is not enabled for Viva Learning” Please contact your administrator for access, or switch to an authorised account”

Solution / Cause

• I am wondering for this error since we thought we have all respective settings in place for Viva Learning
• I have valid license – Microsoft 365 E5 Developer

• I have roles – “Global Administrator“, “Teams Administrator“

• I have all respective settings in place in Microsoft 365 admin center and Microsoft Teams admin center for setting up Microsoft Viva / Viva Learning
• Setting in Microsoft 365 admin center for Viva Learning

• Setting in Microsoft Teams admin center for Viva Learning

• It seems everything is in place still issue
• After bit looking all settings and bit investigation it found that under for user “Licenses and apps” , under apps – “Viva Learning Seeded” app is not selected and that’s why this error is

• As I enabled app “Viva Learning Seeded“, after some time “Viva Learning” is working in Teams channel app 🙂
• Please not here by enabling this setting it took some time to started working “Viva Learning” app in Teams
• What is “Viva Learning Seeded” -is A ‘seeded’ license we have access to a some of the features of Viva Learning as part of our Microsoft 365/ Office 365 F1, F3, E4, A3 and E5 to A5 subscription. The premium version provides access to additional features with more pricing
