Hi All,

Greetings. Today sharing one more major update released from Microsoft related to one of the admin setting

Major Update – “User consent to apps” setting in the Microsoft 365 portal to be retired in April 2024

Details

  • What is “User consent to apps” setting –
    • This setting controls whether users can give that consent to apps that use OpenID Connect and OAuth 2.0 for sign-in and requests to access data
    • If we turn this setting on, those apps will ask users for permission to access our organization’s data, and users can choose whether to allow it
    • If we turn this setting off, then admins must consent to those apps before users may use them
  • Currently till this month (Mar 2024), this setting is available through Microsoft 365 admin center

Current setting – from Microsoft 365 admin center – retiring in early next month (Apr 2024)
