• Hacking refers to the act of gaining unauthorized access to computer or network.

Q . What are the types of hacker?

• White Hat Hacker
• Black Hat Hacker
• Grey Hat Hacker
• Red Hat Hacker
• Blue Hat Hacker
• Green Hat Hacker
• Script Kiddie
• Hacktivist
• State-sponsored Hacker
• Insider Hacker

Q . Who are the White Hat Hackers?

• These are ethical hackers.
• These are hired by the organizations to strengthen their information security arrangements.
• These hackers hacks in order to test, repair and enhance the security of systems and network.
• These hackers are specialized in penetration testing.

Q . Who are the Black Hat Hackers?

• These are illegal hackers.
• Hackers who conduct hacking for malicious purpose like data theft, system downtime or to get the ransom.
• These hackers hack to steal, manipulate and/or destroy.

Q . Who are the Grey Hat Hackers?

• A hacker who operates in a gray area between white hat hacking and black hat hacking.
• These hackers intention is not to cause any harm or not malicious intent.
• These are the hackers who hacks or try to find the vulnerabilities in system without the permission of system owner.
• These hackers report their findings to owner without causing any damage to system which they hacked or scanned.
• These hackers works both offensively and defensively.

Q . Who are the Red Hat Hackers?

• Hackers who works to stop Black Hat Hackers.
• These are type of the ethical hackers.
• These types of hackers work to chase and bring down Cybersecurity threat actors.
• These type of hackers take the things in their own hand.
• Red Hat Hackers falls between White Hat and Grey Hat Hackers.
• Red Hat Hackers are often thought of as “vigilantes.”

Q . Who is Script Kiddie?

• Hackers who uses pre-made tools and scripts to attack.
• These hackers don’t have much experience.

Q . Who are Hacktivist?

• A hacker who uses their skill for the purpose of advancing a social or political agenda.
• Hacktivist also includes rogue insiders.

Q . Who are State-sponsored Hacker?

• A hacker who works for the government
• These hackers are employed to carry out activities related to cyber-espionage or cyber-attacks.

Q . Who are Insider Hacker?

• An individual who has been authorized to use a system or network for malicious purpose or personal gain.
• Example is – an angry employee to access sensitive data may use their privileges for malicious purpose.

Q . Who are Blue Hat Hackers?

• These are hackers who are paid for testing the software. And to find the bugs in a software before it is released.

Q . Who are Green Hat Hackers?

• A Green Hat Hacker is a beginner who is eager to learn and develop their hacking skills.
• These type of hackers are beginner in Cybersecurity.
