Today very small article to share 🙂

In last article we discussed regarding OOB News WP issue when news source is selected as “This site” and when we redirect from another site/page.

I have found one more point with this OOB News WP, which I would like to share. This is regarding filtering options available and related to news source so thought to share.

Filtering option with this News WP is available only when News source is selected as “This site” as

Fig 1 : Office 365 – SharePoint Online – OOB News WP – “Filter” option only available when “News Source” is “This site”

Fig 2 : Office 365 – SharePoint Online – OOB News WP – “Filter” option is not available when “News Source” is not “This site”

For me this seems to be bit surprising, since there is bug associated with “This site” news source and “Filters” option available only for “This site” news source.

So conclusion in there is no way to use “Filter” option 🙁
