Microsoft 365 : Microsoft Streams – new Microsoft Stream start page

Details

• Classic streams is retiring and replacing with new Stream (on SharePoint)
• New Stream is to have video files stored in SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams
• In app launcher when we click on “Streams” we are redirecting to new Microsoft Stream start page by default

• Actually there is setting in SharePoint admin center- Default destination for the Stream app launcher tile – this setting directs users either to new Stream or Classic Stream based on the value set – /_layouts/15/online/AdminHome.aspx#/settings/StreamStartPage

• Default option for directing users on click of “Stream” tile is – new Stream (Stream on SharePoint)
• As we click on “Stream” tile, we will be redirected to new Stream start page as – https://www.microsoft365.com/launch/stream?auth=2

• Allows users to find videos and teams recordings and allows to pickup where they left off
