Microsoft Purview: New feature – The new Microsoft Purview Portal enters GA

Today, sharing new feature related to Microsoft Purview.

New Feature – The new Microsoft Purview Portal is entering General Availability with a unified experience for data security, governance, and compliance. Rollout begins late July 2024, with completion by mid-September 2024. 

Details

• The new Microsoft Purview Portal – https://purview.microsoft.com/
• The new Microsoft Purview Portal is entering General Availability with a unified experience for data security, governance, and compliance.
• Rollout begins late July 2024, with completion by mid-September 2024.
• We will be redirected to the new portal, which will eventually replace the classic portal by the end of 2024.
• After the roll out, we will be automatically redirected to the new Purview portal (purview.microsoft.com) from the classic Purview compliance portal.
• The new portal will be on by default and accessible to all users with appropriate permissions.

New Microsoft Purview portal features

• Streamlined design and unified experience
• We will be able to access all Purview solutions in one single portal, as well as experiences such as settings, global search, recommendations, and roles and permissions management.
• New experiences such as centralized settings experience, global search, a new home page with tailored recommendations, and more

Important dates

• General Availability (Worldwide): Microsoft will begin rolling out late July 2024 and expect to complete by mid-September 2024.
• By end of 2024, Microsoft will retire the Microsoft Purview compliance portal and transition to the new Microsoft Purview portal.
